Sacramento storytellers and storytelling fans, are you ready to get WILD?

We’re so excited to announce our first WILDCARD! show on May 15 at Old Soul The Alley! (Here are directions.)Tickets are only $10, and the Old Soul folks are keeping their kitchen and coffee bar open for us, so plan on having a sip and a nibble while you unload from your busy, stressful day with an evening of storytelling that is a little bit feral, a little bit unpredictable, and 100% pure fun and entertainment.

Every month, our indominable host Keith Lowell Jensen will guide you through a tall tangle of tales, featuring two handpicked storytellers and—WILDCARD!—anyone with a story from the audience. Now, we’re not entirely sure how Keith will pick his randos, so if you want to get on stage and tell a story, best get there early and seek him out! He’s the tall one with the muppet voice and develish grin, a mic in one hand and trusty clipboard in the other.

Who KNOWS what this beloved Sacramento icon will do as he decides YOUR storytelling fate (for an evening, at least!).

What we do know is that our Nutshell friends John Aubert and Holly James are gonna each woo and wow you with a true, personal story that only they could tell. And that’s what’s so great about storytelling, right, folks? You get to peek into another person’s life, marvel at their experience, ruminate on whether you’d make the same decisions . . . you’re basically invited to be nosy and hear all the details firsthand!

And LIVE storytelling is even better, isn’t it? Because we get to be in the thick of it all together. There’s something special about joining your community for an evening of stories and coming away from it feeling a little more connected to humanity. And you’re living in strange times! It’s more important than ever for you to come out, show up, and share space with each other.

PSST! Word on the street is Nutshell Amy Bee will sink or/and swim as the resident monthly storyteller! WOW! Holy tomatoes! Does it get any more WILDCARD! than that?? Now you HAVE to join her, friends! (Seriously, she’s begging you.)

WILDCARD! is your campfire; come and warm yourself by the flames with your rural neighbors, fellow city dwellers, and lovable Nutshell crew. Come listen to a tale. Y’all may not know each other yet, but we bet you want to, and you’ll be better for it.
