Wanna celebrate HALLOWEEN EVE with us by hearing true, personal tales told by four fantastic storytellers? Get your tickets now and come hang out with us on October 30 for our HAUNTED show at the BOO-tiful Sofia Theatre! BONUS: You know our witchiest host, Keith Lowell Jensen, will have a hell of his own tale to tell! He’ll be wearing a costume; don’t leave him hanging!
The next Prompt: a podcast for people who love stories drops on Wednesday, the 22nd! Our guest will be the Nuttiest Nutshell of them all: Amy Bee!
SNEAK PEEK: Guess who’s gonna be our guests at November’s Nutshell (theme: Planes, Trains, & Automobiles) to celebrate the holiday season with us? Not only will John Aubert and Karin Babbitt be sharing their epic holiday stories, but JP Frary and Beau Ryder Davis will be doing a combined improv story together. This will be our last show of the year, so mark your calendars now!
DON’T MISS THIS: Capital Storytelling’s best show of the year, “Immigration Stories: Resistance, Liberation, and Joy,” is on October 28. Free with registration.

We have Nutshell merch! If you buy a shirt or a mug, please send us a pic of you in it. Or, you know, near it.

If you’re new to the Nutshell newsletter and/or haven’t made it to a show yet—Hey! Hello! Howdy! Secondly, you’d better get yer buns to October’s show because this month’s a candy bucket’s worth of spine-tingling true, personal stories (see below for the lineup).
Hear true, personal tales come to life as our storytellers share eerie experiences that are sure to send shivers down your spine.
Will Regina Stoops find out what goes bump in the night?
Does Mark S. Allen confront the ghost in the machine?
Can Jerry Montoya escape the shadow of Sacramento’s most notorious serial killer?
What if Diane Amos found out something EXTRA-sensory about herself when she was only six years old?
Don’t miss out on this hauntingly delightful night and come celebrate Halloween eve with us. *Dress up or come as yourself; we will have treats for everybody!*
We’re three scrappy friends who built In a Nutshell Storytelling from nothing and made it fly. However, the truth is that we were lucky to find a great community of people who love storytelling and live entertainment. That’s YOU! All of you made this happen! Thank you for making this a hit from the first show! We’re eager to keep this train ball rolling as far as we can.

Well, thanks for hanging with us, Sacramento story lovers and beyond. We can’t wait to see you (and every single person you know!) on HALLOWEEN EVE, October 30, at the gorgeous Sofia Theatre.
Until then, keep telling your stories to each other, and we’ll see you soon.
Thank you,
We know you love supporting talented storytellers AND their heck-yeah-totally-awesome stories, so go ahead and become an official Patron of Stories by being a paid subscriber:
